Feelings of stress at the beginning of the year are common for all seniors. As if the college process isn’t demanding enough, we have keep up with schoolwork and extracurriculars. These responsibilities can make keeping all of the information the school releases organized a very challenging task. So, this article is the first in a September “Senior Stress Relief” series that will give key information that you may have missed:

Financial Aid Night: The Financial Aid night is a free Financial Aid information event tomorrow on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021 at HHS’s Auditorium starting at 6:30 pm and will last until around 7:45. All parents, guardians, students, or family members. This presentation will be helpful for seniors who are planning on paying post-secondary education.

Announcements: A new change this year is that announcements are primarily online. The place to find this information is on the new school website:   https://hhs.ht-sd.org/. Simply scroll to the bottom to find the daily announcements, and if you wish, you can sign up for email notifications of these. That said, this week Dr. Imbarlina also approved morning announcements to be aired from 8:15-8:20 in the morning when you come in, so listen to those too if you’re here!

Google Classrooms to Check: The “School Counseling” and “Class of 2022” Google Classrooms both give more in depth information on these opportunities or events coming up. If you haven’t joined these, ask your counselor or English teacher for the codes!

That’s all for this week. Check out The Hamptonian for next week’s Senior Stress Relief update.
